I am Peggy Paredes Ricks.

​

 

From the age of four, I knew I only wanted to pursue a career in art. Well, I also considered being a professional swimmer or a skier as backup options, anticipating year-round engagement.

​

 

During my university years, I delved into both traditional and marketable creative mediums, exploring as much art as my schedule allowed. Given my passion for capturing life on film, it became a natural fit to shift slightly from my initial path and pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Photography.

​

 

Transitioning to my early professional life in northern Virginia after relocating from the south suburbs of Chicago, I adapted my focus again due to locale and family priorities. This led me back to my original aspiration of becoming a professional graphic designer and illustrator. Over the past 25 years, I have honed my skills in various art forms, including hand-drawn illustrations, brand identity development, alluring social media, and website design.
