Hello.​

 

My name is Peggy Paredes Ricks.​

 

I knew I was going to grow up to be an artist when I was four years old. My backup careers were going to be swimmer and skier thinking I would always have something to do all year round. Hmm.  

 

Fast forward to university where I studied as many different mediums as I could fit into my schedule. I have always loved taking photographs, so it is no surprise I veered a little bit off my path and pursued a bachelor of fine arts degree in photography.

Fast forward again to my early professional career in northern Virginia after moving from the south suburbs of Chicago. My priorities shifted a bit and I found myself back on that original path becoming a graphic designer and illustrator. I've been fine tuning my craft for the past 25 years encompassing everything such as creating hand drawn illustrations, developing brand identities, and designing web sites.
