I am Peggy Paredes Ricks.

​

 

From the age of four, I knew I wanted to pursue a career in art. Interestingly, I also considered being a swimmer or a skier as backup options, anticipating year-round engagement. Hehe.

​

 

During my university years, I delved into various creative mediums, exploring as much art as my schedule allowed. Given my passion for photography, it was natural for me to shift slightly from my initial path and pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in photography.

​

 

Transitioning to my early professional life in northern Virginia after relocating from the south suburbs of Chicago, my focus shifted due to professional and family priorities. This led me back to my original aspiration of becoming a professional graphic designer and illustrator. Over the past 25 years, I have honed my skills in various art forms, including hand-drawn illustrations, brand identity development, alluring social media, and website design.
